The title of the manuscript should represent the contents in short and specific form.
The kind of irons in Korean manuscript should written in Korean and additional elements and common alloy system should written in atomic elemental format.
(example) Ni-Cr-Mo steel
English title should start in capital letter except prepositions, articles and conjunctions and the next word after hypon be in capital.
(example) Nickel-Base Superalloy
Author name should be both in Korean and English. Principal author should come first. English author name has family name in last and should be given in full name.
Affiliation (the name of the institution) should follow these:
1) Korean affiliation, the name of the institution, department, city and ZIP code, nation
2) English affiliation, the name of the institution, department, city and ZIP code, nation
Abstract should be within 150 words for research paper and within 50 words for short paper.
Keyword should be written within 10 words expressing the main topic of the paper.
Manuscript style should follow these:
1) Title and abstract : paper title, author, affiliation, title (English), author (English), affiliation (English), Abstract, Keywords
Abbreviations should be defined when they first occur in a manuscript.
(example) Absolute temperature(T) is measured → T is measured.
Captions for figures and tables should be typed consecutively in English on a separate page, not attached to the figure and table.
References should be numbered consecutively in order of first appearance in the text and designated by square brackets.
(example) Effects of thin films on the oxidation[1]
References should be written in English and prepared in the following form.
1) For a scientific journal: Author, Paper title, Abbreviation of journal title, volume (year) start page-the last page
(example) [1] K.-D. Hong, Surface properties of metals, Trans. Am. Soc. Met, 55 (1962) 347-351.
2) For a book: Author, Book Title, Editor, nth edition, Publisher, City (year) page.

Well-known predicatse are written in Korean but unusual one in English.
Foreign predicate should be a capital letter when it is placed ate the beginning of the sentence. It should be a small letter in the middle of sentence.
The tables should be numbered in oder of appearance and the caption should be positioned above the table.
All captions for tables, figures, photos should start in capital letter and the next words in the captions should be in small letter. Captions for Figures and tables should be typed consecutively and attached to the end of the body.
In the body of manuscript, table and figure should be written as “Table” and “Figure”, respectively. Graphs and photos should be placed sequently in figure.
The widths of figures and photos should be within 75~165 mm.
Equations and book-name should be presented in italics.
The equations should be numbered consecutively throughout the text with algebraic numbers in parentheses, such as (1), (2), and (3) without connecting lines.
Simple equations can be expressed in one line suing slashes and parentheses.
